Long (website, press)

Roman Thommen is one of the CTOs at Qubic, a decentralised network in which the computing power of independent operators around the world is used to train artificial intelligence. He helps shape its technical architecture and works with AI agents every day, in software development, infrastructure and research.

He has worked in technology for more than 20 years. Trained as a computer scientist, with further studies in business informatics at a university of applied sciences, he worked as a software architect and project lead and went on to found several companies. His projects range from file-based production for radio and television and planning tools for major sporting events to the strategic direction of software development and IT apprenticeships.

Roman taught at the Gewerbeschule and the Höhere Fachschule in Zug. That experience shapes how he speaks: deep, hands-on technical knowledge, explained clearly, practically and without buzzwords.

As a speaker, workshop facilitator and coach, he helps organisations, leadership teams and educators understand what AI really changes and how to make it work in practice. He speaks in German and English and is based in Switzerland.
